You expect your car to be reliable. Your automobile is what you rely on to get you to and from work, to pick up the kids, and for a night on the town. Honda works hard to produce quality cars for its customers. The 2012 Honda Civic family of cars is no exception.
The new Honda Civic Coupe comes in several options: DX, LX, EX, or EX-L. The standard DX features five-speed manual or automatic transmission, power windows, and six airbags for safety. Additional features of the other models include MP3 and auxiliary input jacks, a moon roof, power outlets, heated seats, and heated mirrors.
The 2012 Honda Civic Sedan has improved engine modifications and aerodynamics. Engineers have built the new Civic Sedan with weight-saving technologies. It offers 28mpg in the city and 39mpg on the highway.
The 2012 Civic Si has modifications for both the Coupe and the Sedan. For style, the Civic Si offers an exclusive black cloth interior with red stitching. The 2012 Si engines have achieved a 22% increase in torque at 170 lb-ft. The alloy wheels and navigational system are just a few of the highlighted features in Honda’s new phenomenal Civic Si commercial.
In addition to the features the other 2012 Honda Civics offer, the HF has increased fuel efficiency. The HF also showcases an aerodynamic decklid spoiler and specialized alloy wheels on the exterior. With a lower body than the other Honda Civics, the HF gives its owner enhanced aerodynamic speed and under-body panels to handle wind effortlessly.
The new Honda Civic Hybrid is for those who hold the environment as a top priority. The featured ECON button immediately puts your engine into an even more efficient mode to increase mileage. The 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid has an estimated 44mpg in the city and on the highway.
With improved safety, mileage, and other features, the reliability of the 2012 Honda Civic collection cannot be beat. Contact Marv Jones Honda about a new or used car today. Call us at (604) 465-5464.

With the right maintenance, you can enjoy the quality and performance of your Honda vehicle for many years to come.
It’s important to know how and when to maintain your vehicle to keep your car running and looking like new for years and over thousands of miles. While Hondas are built with quality and endurance, keep in mind the following tips for maintaining your Honda vehicle.
- Change the Oil. To maintain a healthy engine, change your Honda’s oil on a regular basis. This task is both quick and inexpensive. Motor oil manufacturers recommend you change your vehicle’s oil every 3,000 miles. Your Honda will remind you to change your oil between 6,500 and 7,000 miles with green and orange lights.
- Check the Fluids. In addition to the oil, make sure your car’s engine coolant, transmission fluid, and brake fluid are at proper levels. Especially if you bought a used Honda, you’ll want to check your fluids before warning lights alert you that they are dangerously low. Ignored fluids in your engine cause seals to leak and crack.
- Clean the Exterior and Interior. Maintaining the exterior and interior of your Honda not only improves its appearance, but also improves performance. Removing dirt from the exterior of your car decreases drag and increases gas mileage. The interior carpets should be vacuumed, rubber floor mats washed, and windows cleaned with non-ammonia based cleaner.
- Pay Attention to Warning Lights. While most of these tips are preventative measures, pay attention to your car. If you feel like your car isn’t operating correctly, then take your car to the dealership. Scheduled car maintenance with the dealer can save you both time and money before a more serious problem arises. With advances in today’s technology, most Honda vehicles are able to alert their drivers through warning lights when there is a problem with the engine or fluids. Never ignore a “check engine” or “low tire pressure” light.
